HELIOS (ἤτοι... φωτογραφικὴ ὁμὰς Ἠέλιος*) ιs a photographic team founded in 2010. Its objective is
to propose a new photographic aspect of everyday reality in terms of fine art. Its team members
- at the moment only two: Dimitris Agathoklis and Nikos Mastrapostolis - continuously try to seize the photographic Time and expose the well hidden 'magic' that transforms a common photo to something more. This is not an easy task. Life may stand in the way between the real event and the photographic event
but always remains the photographer's subject matter. It cannot be otherwise.

Understanding this truth is the first and easy chapter on photography. The hard task is to overcome the obstacles risen by conventional vision perspectives and to reveal as large fragment as possible of the Photographic World. The only chance of succeeding is by means of form and content - two photographic constants that easily turn from friends into enemies within a millisecond of a click.

Of course failure is more frequent than success. We have no illusions. The distance between theory and practice is as much as it is between mountain and sea! But... nothing ventured nothing gained. This is why we firmly support the old motto: to learn by trial and error.
